Entry Description

Tiger Lane is a bustling dining precinct. Our team designed the interior and exterior spaces of the common areas and two venues within this vibrant area. The ID intent was to create an authentic Asian street atmosphere in the dining area. We faced a few challenges such as developing a custom lighting installation resembling car light trails as well as limiting the bleaching effect due to the vast amount of backlit signages. The successful outcome was due to mock-ups, a careful luminaire selection to balance ambiance and accent lighting and a thoughtful commissioning process. In juxtaposition with the urban look of the Asian-themed precinct sits the commercial arcade where the ID aim was to create a magical outdoor landscape. Suspended gantries and creepers plants have been highlighted with close-range adjustable micro-spotlights and linear LED. Suspended Decorative Pendants provide ambiance lighting. To complement the outdoor look a few garden mushroom luminaires have been integrated within the low-level planters. The final touch to this precinct was the covered entrance to the arcade. A gentle wash of the batten ceiling and downlights along the spines provide both ambience and functional lighting.
Great emphasis has been put on the entrance highlighting the planting to soften the hard surfaces as well as focusing the attention of the passer-by and promoting wayfinding.
Sustainability Approach

We are deeply committed to the well-being of both the environment and its inhabitants. While this project primarily focuses on recreational purposes, we have conscientiously selected our fixtures to ensure sustainability. The durability of each luminaire extends beyond mere performance and encompasses its entire lifecycle. The hardware we've chosen is equipped with high-quality light-emitting diodes, ensuring longevity. This not only minimizes maintenance but also offers optimal visual comfort, reducing eye strain. The selection of luminaires was grounded on achieving the best L/B value, which is determined by the Median Useful Life, thereby ensuring that our commitment to sustainable practices aligns seamlessly with an exceptional visual experience.
