Entry Description

The Karmann's Hotel was created as a quiet haven for people coming to the Baltic Sea to admire the sea and the amber for which this sea is famous, and to be in complete harmony with nature in comfortable conditions.
Having studied the surrounding space, we came to the conclusion that the gray-blue palette of the northern sky and sea, shades of amber must be transferred from nature to the hotel interior.
The reception area is lit with a pleasant warm light. Ribbed glass panels in the center of the area slope down, attracting attention with the opposite cool white glow, realized with the help of lamps hidden in the ceiling niche. The handcrafted waterfall brings a fresh feeling to this space.
For the bar we chose bright orange lighting with a colour temperature of 2200K. We provided lighting for each niche behind the bar where amber bottles are stored.
The walls leading into this area and the spa ceiling imitate water ripples. Our team spent many hours selecting the correct placement and adjustment of the fixtures, resulting in a caustic effect. Thanks to the effect, guests find themselves in a cave, where light passing through the water creates intricate patterns on the surface of the walls and floor. The common areas are decorated in pleasant pastel and sandy gray tones. This is facilitated by lighting, which we tried to integrate into the interior as much as possible.
