Entry Description

UK House is a mixed-use office building located on Oxford Street, in the prestigious West End in London. The artificial lighting design juxtaposes the historic facades' Edwardian scale and grandeur with the architects’ vision of interior corporate architecture: bold, futuristic, communicative, yet stepped into history, melding Baroque with Techno-Futuristic features. Nothing here is left to chance, from the furniture details to the lighting integration, that seeks a minimalistic, almost abstract light atmosphere, in which carefully selected coloured elements stands out.
Sustainability Approach

The lighting solution for UK House takes into account today's sustainability requirements in several respects. Firstly, highly efficient direct distribution LED linear luminaires with an efficiency of more than 100lm/W are used. The lux level is controlled according to the amount of daylight and reduces energy consumption. In addition, the luminaires can be easily maintained via the louvre ceiling and cleaned if necessary. The detailed technical solution minimises operating costs and optimises life cycle costs without compromising on design.
