Entry Description

The lighting design fully respects the architectural features of the Mala Villa and the importance of its surroundings. Careful study of the surrounding environment and architectural characteristics led to the creation of an elegant and unique warm lighting effect that meets the daily lighting needs. Additionally, themed around the four seasons, the design gives the building a colorful exterior, showcasing its attributes as a "fairytale castle." For major holidays and festivals, the design takes inspiration from the concept of the "fairytale castle in a girl's dream," creating a surreal light and shadow show that brings the dream world into reality.
The overall lighting design adopts an intelligent lighting control system utilizing a 4G Internet platform, enabling flexible usage with multiple scenes, modes, and time periods.
In consideration of the architectural conservation characteristics, the lighting design adopts a long-throw method to illuminate the building on a large scale. The light fixtures are installed on the roofs of auxiliary buildings to minimize any adverse impact on the historically preserved architecture. Additionally, some of the few old and outdated fixtures, particularly those on the eaves, have been replaced with smaller and lighter LED fixtures to ensure that there is no new impact on the building.
Sustainability Approach

The lighting fixtures used in the project are all long-lasting and low-energy LED light sources. By strictly controlling the light distribution and projection angles of the fixtures, the utilization of light is enhanced, avoiding interfering light and diffusing light. The projected light within the range of the facade windows is effectively cut off, fully embodying green lighting and human-centric illumination principles.
The lighting adopts an intelligent control system that enables scene-based and time-based control of the lights. It is divided into several modes: weekday mode, holiday mode, energy-saving mode, and light show mode, catering to different lighting requirements in various scenarios and time periods. The corresponding lighting mode can be activated as needed, effectively reducing power consumption and maintenance costs.
