PROFESSIONAL LIGHTING DESIGN is the leading magazine worldwide that is dedicated solely to presenting professional architectural lighting. Conceived as the official magazine of the PLD Community, PLD concentrates on the presentation of design philosophies, historical background information, theoretical topics, professional issues and the technical aspects of lighting design and application. PLD is oriented to meet the requirements of the lighting designer. The magazine is printed in four different  language versions: English, German, Chinese and Turkish.

Russian creative association of lighting designers RULD and CLD ITMO University, is one of the leading educational and experimental project at ITMO University in the fields of science, art, technology and lighting design, are pleased to announce The 4th International Research-to-Practice Conference Lighting Design – 2017. This conference is a unique annual international research-to-practice conference in St. Petersburg, which will develop in 2018–2030 with the perspective to 2050 as the center of Russian Lighting Culture according “The Complex Development Program of the city St. Petersburg” and due to collaboration ITMO University with city administration.

RULD is a creative association of lighting designers whose goal  is to raise the professional quality of Russian lighting designers, both in the theoretical and in the practical sense. Their objectives include: to promote the (creative) research and design activities of professors, young scientists, students, practitioners in the field of science and lighting design, to address issues concerning mainstream education system and to develop professional training programs, to provide a platform for effective professional collaboration in addressing the pressing issues in the field of science, education, lighting design and experimental design, and to develop and promote intellectual cooperation between university teachers, early career researchers, students and practicing lighting designers to involve them in discussing and solving problems in the field of lighting design.

The Indian Society of Lighting Engineers (ISLE) is a professional body in the field of illuminating engineering with a broad based membership of scientists, engineers, architects, academicians, researchers, designers and others interested in lighting issues. ISLE is affiliated to the CIE, the International Commission on Illumination. It is also a member of Lux Pacifica, a lighting body that represents 60% of the world's population. It is closely associated with the Bureau of Indian Standards, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, the Department of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Power, the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources and the Electrical Lamp and Component Manufacturers Association of India.

Architectural SSL magazine is focused on the development, application, specification and design merit of LEDs and solid-state lighting throughout the built environment. Architectural SSL exists to prepare key influentials of architectural-built spaces for a product technology likely to have a revolutionary impact. With the involvement of and assistance from the SSL manufacturing community this magazine will educate, inform and excite by delivering an optimistic yet realistic presentation of products, technology and trends.

The mission of the AAP is to advance the appreciation and exposure of quality architectural design worldwide. The American Architecture Prize celebrates creativity and innovation in the fields of architectural design, landscape architecture, and interior design. AAP welcomes submissions from architects all around the world. The Design of the Year Prize recognizes individuals and teams who have made a substantial contribution to architecture, interior design or landscape design. This prize is awarded for single projects created in the last 5 years. The Firm of the Year Award recognizes the excellence of inspiring and innovative architecture, interior, and landscape design firms around the globe and it is awarded based on the companies’ full body of work during their lifetime.

Aalborg University (AAU) has been providing students with academic excellence, cultural engagement and personal development since its inception in 1974. Lighting technology is undergoing a significant development – including new light sources, intelligent and interactive control of light and the use of interactive screens. To meet the new demands, the Aalborg University MSc in Lighting Design is a unique combination of the fields of media technology, architecture and science of light. Furthermore, it is founded in a special Danish and Nordic tradition of sensibility to light in our built environment.

Lightecture is an online and printed magazine focused on lighting design that shows how creative and sustainable use of light enhances the experience in architecture and urban spaces. Designed specifically for the needs of the professionals interested in lighting provides information and quality contents, publishes exclusive interviews, projects developed by top lighting designers as well as novelties and technological advances developed by the industry.

The International Design Awards (IDA) exists to recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design visionaries and to uncover emerging talent in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic, and Fashion Design. IDA aspires to draw attention to the iconoclasm of design world wide, conceptualizing and producing great work. Farmani Group assembled IDA as the design sibling of the Annual Lucie Awards for Photography, which has emerged as one of the world’s most prestigious photography awards. A handful of designers, thinkers and entrepreneurs created the International Design Awards in 2007 as a response to the lack of recognition and celebration for smart and sustainable multidisciplinary design.

Elcoma, the “Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers Association of India”, represents the Indian lighting industry in its aims to act as an important link to support each other in matters connected with lighting industry, to promote and develop co-operation among the manufacturers of electric lamps and components and to further facilitate the overall interests of its members. The association will help upgrade the knowledge and technical capabilities of its members by working with other relevant organizations both in India and abroad.

IstanbulLight is an international platform, where all the players in the lighting industry come together under a same roof and where the latest technologies and collaboration opportunities are offered, will take place in Istanbul Expo Center, Yesilköy in Istanbul between 21-24 September, 2017 with the collaboration of the Turkish National Committee on Illumination and Turkish Lighting Luminaires Manufacturers Association.

ArtLight discusses important contemporary and historic developments of culture

in the area of tension between art and light – functional art and design in a global context. ArtLight informs about actual exhibitions in museums and galleries, auctions and fairs, as well as contests and prizes for artists and architects, scientists or lighting professionals. The magazine looks for new ideas, projects, trends and visions on the topic of art and light. The contributors include some of the most important critics and curators in the field.
